Semisweet: Life in Chocolate Won a Canadian Screen Award!

chocolocateteam — 4 years ago

Yesterday was the Canadian Screen Awards and we have some exciting news to announce.

Our feature documentary, Semisweet: Life in Chocolate, won the prestigious Canadian Screen Award for Original Music for a Non-Fiction Program! This is the premiere film, television and interactive digital media award in Canada, formerly called the Gemini Awards.

Congratulations to Ohad Benchetrit and Justin Small, our two virtuosos behind the fantastic music of the documentary. The award was most deserved.

Thank you to our funders and broadcaster: TV Ontario, Canada Media Fund, Bell Broadcast and New Media Fund, Rogers Documentary Fund, The Canadian Film and Television Tax Credit and The Government of Ontario Tax Credit. Without your support, this project would not have been possible.

Today there is great cause to celebrate. Perhaps a party involving chocolate?

Awards, JustinSmall, Music, OhadBenchetrit, Semisweet
